| Fingers Cut Megamachine - Fingers Cut, Megamachine |
The debut full length of Los Angeles based ‘Fingers Cut Megamachine’.
Featuring the relentless song writing of ex-Osker frontman Devon
Williams, FCMM play an eclectic mix of Americana meets punk – think
Wilco meets Westerberg, where torch meets twang. Though a departure
from Oskers snotty antics, FCMM is rooted in punk rock dissonance, only
steeped in acoustic texture and indie confidence. Recorded and mixed by
Mike Trujillo (Osker, Leftover Crack, Choking Victim) at Succulent
Sounds Studios, this self titled CD feels like a natural progression
from rebellious teen angst to self-aware organic song structure.

| Really great full lengh. I have to say i am really sick of everyone comparing this to Osker...its not Osker so stop!... Osker has been one of my favorite bands since i was 12. This is something new and Devon is just simply a very talented songwriter. I recomend this to everyone who really appreciates great music and isnt just some other "music critic". |

| Extremely enjoyable folk-influenced indie rock. The album as a whole is pleasantly mellow, but also has its bouncy moments and jaunty melodies. The songs are nicely crafted by Devon Williams, and despite the melancholic and pessimistic nature of the yet beautiful lyrics, listening to this record happens to be pretty uplifting. |

| As a huge fan of Osker I have to say that this was pretty disappointing. I was expecting more venom and spite. Instead I got....well...alot of folk. I'm not the world's biggest fan of straight up folk music. In fact, the first three times I tried to listen to this I fell asleep. This was way better than the standard Dashboard Confessional type crap, but it's definately no Osker "Idle Will Kill". |

| Alright this Cd is Definently for anyone who is a long time Osker fan, Fingers Cut Megamachine is basically mellow, acoustic, with the Same snotty metiphoric lyric style of Osker, this cd is a great overall transition from Osker into Fingers Cut Megamachine. |

| This is the new band from Devon from Osker, and it's very easy to see the progression from Treatment 5 to Idle Will Kill to Color Tub to FCMM S/T. The production of this record is much better than all of FCMM's previous work and it is the first FCMM release to include the lyrics.
Lyrically, the songs are filled with metaphors and are obscure enough that you will not completely get the songs first (or 20th) time around, but its very interesting stuff.
The music ranges from the softer acoustic stuff like Yellow Cross, and Release Me, to the more (relatively) heavier and faster stuff like Backseat and Orange Barrel. |
