| Great old school hardcore. I like this one better than RVA, which was great too. Awesome! Buy it! I love this CD. Memorial Day is about as perfect as a hardcore song can be. |

| I bought this album several months ago, after having stumbled across a download for a few songs on this CD. I really enjoy it because it is infact hardcore punk and not another generic metalcore band playing shitty mosh tunes.
The lyrical content of this album is better than most recent hardcore and metalcore releases in my opinion, often by a long shot. The lyrics actually make sense and aren't all written through the use of horrible cliches, they are really well written.
The music is all traditional hardcore with a modern sound to it, it's melodic, it's fast paced, it's angry.
Definately a quality purchase. |

| out of the ashes of kid dynamite came paint it black. they're almost as good, but some people may say they're equals. that it one of the highest marks you can give for a melodic hardcore band. has the philly sound and rocks your socks off in short bursts of energy. these songs are a little longer on average than the CVA songs. |

| Dr Dan Yemin has a magic touch. This is a little different than the 1st cd "cva", as the songs are slightly longer and Dr Dan's lyrical attack focuses on war and gov't. It is filled with a ton of heart and passion. All you could want in old school Black Flag/early 80's worship with plenty of melodic h/c punk mixed in. Not a bad song on the cd. The more you listen to it, the more you hear hints of his previous bands in the songs. Easily one of 2005's best discs. |

| awesome CD. The Band is still keeping the fast all less than 2 min songs. If you liked CVA you will like paradise. And if you have never heard paint it Black then if you like Minor Threat you will like Paradise |

| Straight-up '88-revival hardcore. I think I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't have a soft spot for '88 hardcore punk, but that doesn't stop me from thuroughly enjoying Paint It Black. They fix all the problems I have with '88 hardcore: they're good musicians, they write songs with more than one chord, their records are decently produced, and most importantly their lyrics are absurdly good.
Personally, I love this album. A lot. But it isn't much of a change from CVA. If you liked their first, you'll like this just as much. If you didn't, you won't. |

| Great album, not as good as CVA in my opinion but it still kicks arse. The last tune is amazing as well, most of the tunes are boss, really fast, really aggressive and just great to listen to if you're pissed off. |

| Great CD. If you like old school hardcore, buy this. Buy CVA first, but then buy this. This is a great evolution of a band, as the sound changes slightly, but doesn't end up sucking like when most bands "grow up." That said, I'm way too old to be a punker, so my opinion might be representative of my age (I'm 25). |
