When I first heard this, I liked it, but it still wasn't that great. I was a bit dissapointed. But after a few listens to, I like it now almost as much as his older stuff. He is still very talented on this record, and I like the sound of it all. Still great music!!

If you're new to Bright Eyes, don't get one of his two newest CDs just yet....Go for Fevers and Mirrors first. However..My friend at work had never heard Bright Eyes, and Digital Ash In A Digital Urn turned out to be the first Bright Eyes CD he ever listened to..And he still fell in love with the music and it's lyrics. Me and him have talked about how we don't understand how no one likes this CD that much. I guess it's just personal opinion..

Overall, I still think that this CD is definately worth the buy, especially if you like Bright Eyes. If you don't like it at first, give it a few more listens to. Oh how I love this band..

If you like to be happy, don't buy this CD. However, if you're a bit on the melloncollie side, this should suit you just fine. But I can't get on board with the depressing lyrics about life's problems that can be so easily solved. Quit whining and fix it! Lyrics aside, the electronic music is interesting enough. And I do like the touch of live instruments alongside the digital stuff. If you like darker music, you might get into this.

"Nintendo Games," is the first thing that comes to mind when I listen to this...It is the complete opposite of the acoustic album that was released the same time...

This album sounds exactly like "The Faint." It is no good...Do not buy it...Save your money...

Older Bright Eyes is muchmuchmuchmuch better than this!

This is a great album heh. This si the first album I've ever heard from Bright Eyes and I've heard that their older stuff is alot better but whatever, this stuff is great. The 4 is merely benefit of the doubt that their old stuff is infact better. Buy this album if you like mellow crooning-esque music befitting of great backround stuff.
