7 Seconds is back with their punk-hardcore sound that helped define a genre. Fast songs with powerful lyrics and music that is both aggressive and catchy. 7Seconds’ validity and relevance is already unquestionable. Since Kevin and his brother Steve Youth formed the group in 1979 in the unlikely hardcore hub of Reno, Nevada (before eventually relocating to Sacramento, California and becoming an integral part of the original Cali-punk explosion), they’ve seen countless musical trends come and go, and they’ve easily outlasted them all. Mixed and mastered by Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Rise Against, Descendents) Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over! Delivers 17 tracks of pure adrenaline with their trademark melodic sing-a-long choruses.

I bought this after buying "The Crew" and to tell you the truth I was slightly dissapointed. It is still good but it is no The crew or Walk together Rock together

4/20/2006 by Megan from Lacey, WA Rating:
This is the best album that these guys have released in a really long time. Gone is their long hair and that awful 'alternative' sound that they tried out for a while. It really was quite terrible that phase that they went through. However, the songs on this cd are fast and full of meaning. This means that 7 Seconds are at their best once again. Keep it up guys!!!! I haven't seen them live in 16 years and this cd makes me want to see them live again.

7 Seconds doing what they do best, rocking out with an attitude. Definitely going with the old school hardcore roots, especially with songs reminding us that our parents grew up around this, except mine, they are much to old to like 7 seconds. now that i think about it, i grew up with 7 seconds much more than they did. so anyways, buy this for old school punk rock and roll.

It is what is is and that is good old school hardcore. They're still positive and still catchy. great stuff!!

11/15/2005 by Jason from Kirkland, WA Rating:
7 Seconds is so hit and miss. They are either amazing or a total let down. I'm happy to say this is one that is amazing. What can be said about this band that you should't already know. If you've never heard of this band, this would be a great album to start with.

11/7/2005 by Jerry from Palatine, IL Rating:
Hot damn, this is a great CD. This is my first 7 Seconds album, when I got this I was only familiar with a few of their songs from their long discography. I know most times with your veteran punk bands that it is better off to get their old material first and then wait to buy their new stuff till later on, but I took a chance and it paid off. From start to finish there is just so much energy in each song. The lyrics will get you, the vocals will have you singing along, and the production on here is just amazing. Any album Bill Stevenson (Descendents, ALL) does production-wise always sounds fantastic. Now I have to go get some more 7 Seconds albums, enjoy!

8/29/2005 by Jeff from Austin, TX Rating:
I held off for awhile in reviewing this. Had to listen to the album a few times over. Its great. Heres a band I grew up listening to, coming back saying "Yes. We can still do it. We still have a message for the kids. And We can still fucking rock." I was worried that it might be like the old Ourself album. About the only 7 Seconds CD I dont recomend. But its not. Its great straight up old school hardcore. For those that dont even know who these guys are here's a chance to get into a band thats been around for some time, and always had a message important not just for the scene but life itself.

5/6/2005 by Kevin from High Level, AB Canada Rating:
I'm no good at writing reviews but I must say this album really takes the cake. And for anyone that thinks otherwise isnt punk and should go back to playing with there GI Joes. I never really got into 7 Seconds untill this album. It kicks some serious ass. If you don't own it, you better!

5/1/2005 by Iain from Tahoe City, CA Rating:
this is awsome. its 7 seconds, thats enough to make you happy. it is not the same as their stuff from the early days. a very different sound, you could call it pop-hardcore.

4/9/2005 by Duncan from Dundalk, Ireland Rating:
I was a bit sceptical before buying this, because I thought it may lack the old 7Seconds intensity, but I was certainly proved wrong!! It's exactely like the 7seconds we all know and love in some parts, and also really different(in a good way) in others. I would describe it as classic 7seconds, only better produced. I love it........
