| And Hell Followed With - Domain |
Fresh from the studio And Hell Followed With's debut album entitled Domain is exactly what deathcore fans have been dying to hear. This brutal album relentlessly tears from song to song, never slowing down and never breaking pace. Pulling together melodic death metal and mixing it with sheer brutality that shines through in every breakdown, Domain is an album that will have listeners constantly pressing the repeat button. Lyrically covering everything from detestation of deceit to being consumed by insects, Domain is filled with dark, black metal themes. With influences from European death metal and the brutal intensity of today’s hardcore, Domain is a power house release from this Detroit deathcore band. Don’t miss out of this highly anticipated debut.

| The first description of And Hell Followed With that I ready said something like "The Black Dahlia Murder with breakdowns", what is basically true. And Hell Followed With play Melodic Deathcore (or however you want to call it) and they do it almost perfectly. To me, this is really one of my late highlights of 2008, the only thing that is not perfect about this is the production which is just way too slack. But apart from that it's plain awesomeness. The riffs etc. are less complex than those of TBDM, but that is a positive factor in this case since the songs are a lot more memorable than those of TBDM. I'd say that Domain is pretty similar to With Blood Comes Cleansing's Golgotha, but without Christian lyrics and the songs are more diversified. Well, what else can I say? The vocals are great (mixture between growls and screaming), the breakdowns are tight and the melodies (no clean vocals!) are pretty catchy for a deathcore band. I love it. |
