Matadors - Sweet Revenge
The Matadors are the greatest Horrorbilly band of all time and the world’s only purveyors and deliverers of Lucifarian Gospel music. Their latest and 5th release ‘Sweet Revenge’ delivers the kind of booze-fueled hate rock you have come to expect from Hooch ‘The Godfather of Horrorbilly’. Place this cd directly on your crotch and wait for the magic.

hooch is back! the matadors are incredible live and on record, and it's great to see that despite some internal band issues, the matadors and hooch are ready for another steaming pile of booze, sex and horror-filled psychobilly! favourite songs are "that's how she died", "a little bit of alcohol", "faith in booze", "i love you when you're dead", "the devil taught me how", "bush party handjob", and "if you're gonna bitch (i'm gonna drink)". check them out when you get the chance.

I'm a huge fan of this band, but i have to admit that it's not their best album. That being said, it's still a good album. The songs do blend together, but that's cool, can't expect every album to be a race with the devil.... so to speak. If you still have misgivings, look at it this way.... you're not wasting money on Chinese Democracy.

This is a decent record but not nearly as good as their last record, Horrorbilly 9000. Get that first. This album really has no standout songs; they all seem to blend together. Usually when listening to a new album for the first time I'm listening intently. With this one my mind was wondering. For really good, modern rockabilly try The Amazing Royal Crowns self titled album or Fight Songs by The Kings of Nuthin'. For awesome Psychobilly go with any album by the Gutter Demons or the Koffin Kats. Word.
