Interpunk buys most of the music we sell from well established reputable music distributors. We get the rest of the music directly from bands and labels. If you are in a band that is not on a record label "big enough" to be carried by one of the distributors we currently buy from, that is not a problem. Either you or your record label can supply us directly with your band's music by signing up with our Interpunk Direct service below.

If you are a band or a record label and you want us to distribute your music, you can through Interpunk Direct. We will sell your music on consignment and pay you monthly for whatever sells. This is basically how it works:

1. Open an Interpunk Direct account, or use your existing Interpunk account
2. Fill out an online form to tell us about each of the item(s) you want to sell
3. Ship us the amount of each item we ask you to send
4. We'll e-mail you once we have received your package
5. Each time we nearly sell out of your item(s), we'll e-mail you to request more to be shipped to us
6. You can log into your Interpunk Direct account anytime to see how your items are selling
7. Then at the beginning of each month you can collect on whatever you sold during the previous month

We accept CDs, 7", 10", and LP records that fit somewhere within the genres that Interpunk already sells: Punk, Emo, Hardcore, Indie, Ska. When you send in your initial shipment of each item, we require that you include an extra copy, free of charge, that we will use to create your item and to keep here as a promo copy. On the form you fill out prior to shipping us your items, you tell us the price that we will pay you for each copy that we sell. We will sell your items at a small reasonable mark-up to individuals and to stores (wholesale), both here in the United States and to most countries around the world. You can log into your Interpunk Direct account anytime to see how your items are selling and to do many other things. If you are a new band and only have CD-Rs, we will accept them as long as they are in a case and have a spine label with the band and title of the CD. If you sell your music items through Interpunk Direct and your band is just starting out or not on a big record label, we will do something extra for you. In addition to being sold through the normal Interpunk store, we will also set apart your item into a section of the store called Interpunk Local. In this section we break down the bands geographically by state and country so people can find bands that are local to them. This is a good way for anyone to find new bands near them, and also to find bands that are in different parts of the country or world. To include your band in Interpunk Local, be sure to choose the option when filling out the online selling form on Interpunk Direct.
